Matt loves the room. We've been partners for close to five years now. This room just suits us and our clients so nicely.
Here's our modest vocal booth featuring a toy piano and my Advanced Audio CM47Fet ce.
Here's the back of the room.
Here's the real thing
I love this couch. The back of the room isn't quite finished, I still would like another 2x4 diffusor on the back wall, but, it sounds so good as it is.
3D Render of our new room
I designed the room in Google Sketchup before purchasing equipment, paint, and acoustic treatment
When we moved in there was a large panel of Auralex foam on the front wall. The adhesive tore the drywall. I had to mud it, and sand it before painting.
Things are looking up @ 12 Oaks
The room turned out nicely. There are still mostly cosmetic things I'm hoping to improve soon, but, we've hit the ground running and been soooo busy since we moved in.
Measure once, cut twice
My cousin, who's a SPSU grad and Yamaha mechanical engineer helped me hang the panels. By the time we hung the second one we realized we had made a bit of a miscalculation. They weren't parallel. Ha! So, they came down and we did it again.
A Room with a VU
Here we have the A room complete with 48 ch Soundcraft 6000. What's funny is I used to own the 600, which now belongs to Mike Froedge and is pictured below.
A room rehearsal
Sometimes we play music. Here we are rehearsing for Audrey Morgan's band in the A Room at 12 Oaks
I've added some new Hardware/Software to the mix room
A UAD Apollo Quad, 2 Quad Satellites, and the complete UA collection.
Eye on the ball
Mixing across an SSL is my idea of a good day.
